Download the EV Loader app

Charging with EV Loader happens in the app. You will need it to find a station, start a session and pay, so this is the first step.

Get the app

• iPhone and iPad: search for EV Loader in the App Store.
• Android: search for EV Loader in the Play Store.

The app is free, and you can browse the map of charging stations before you create an account.

What you need for your first charge

Three things, and nothing else:

1. The app, signed in to an account. Creating one takes a minute, see Create your account.
2. A payment method. A credit or debit card is enough. Apple Pay and Google Pay work too.
3. A cable, but only at some stations. Many chargers have their own cable attached. Others have a socket instead, and for those you need your own Type 2 cable, the kind that usually comes with the car. See Choosing the right plug.

You do not need to add your vehicle, and you do not need to buy anything in advance.

The web version

Everything a driver can do in the app can also be done in a browser at evloader.com, including finding a station and starting a session. The app is more convenient at the charger because it can scan the QR code on the EV Charging Point.

If you are a station owner rather than a driver, the tools for managing your own chargers are in a browser only, not in the app.
