Token Wallet and topping up

What tokens are

A prepaid balance inside the app, sometimes called coins. The rate is fixed and simple:

€1 = 10 tokens, so one token is €0.10.

Top the wallet up once and pay for as many sessions as the balance covers, without entering a card each time.

Before you buy, the one thing to know

Tokens are not refundable once purchased. They do not expire, and they can be used across as many sessions as you like at any of our stations, but you cannot convert them back into money.

So buy roughly what you expect to use. If you charge only occasionally, paying by card is the better choice: you pay exactly what you use and nothing of yours stays in the app.

How to top up

1. Tap Wallet.
2. Tap Buy tokens.
3. Choose an amount. There are €10, €20 and €50 shortcuts, or type your own.
4. Tap Buy, enter your card details and confirm.

The balance updates immediately.

The most you can buy in one purchase is 1500 tokens, which is €150.

Paying with tokens

When you start a session, choose Token Wallet. The cost is worked out at the end and taken from your balance, so no hold is placed on a card.

Keep an eye on the balance

A session paid from tokens stops when the balance runs out. The charger stops delivering energy, which is fine if the car is full and annoying if it is not.

Before a long session, either top up or pay by card. With a card the session runs until you unplug. See Charging stopped part way through.

Seeing what you have spent

Wallet shows your balance and recent transactions, and All transactions shows the full history, including top-ups and the cost of each session.
